#LAReviews | Our African Fashion International’s #MBFWJ17 Experience

Being able to sit in on a show and experience proudly South African brands on display, showing off their collections is a rarity but because Le’Afrinique loves fashion we thought there is no way African Fashion International was going to host another Mercedes Benz fashion week without us being there to cover all the amazing pieces of wearable art, and we were clearly not the only ones who felt that way despite the freezing temperatures. Mzansi’s most fashionable came out in droves, dressed in their best threads all weekend, to support our local designers.

AFI definitely didn’t disappoint with the line up of designers for this years Mercedes Benz Fashion week, like Quiteria And George who had the crowd cheering with their one of a kind mesh pieces and pastel colours all of which was on trend for the up and coming spring/summer season, and Marianne Fassler with her Futuristic opening and eclectic pieces, a few of which we were eyeing for ourselves, definitely shows to remember.

Pharrell Williams once said fashion has to reflect who you are and we got to see who South African designers are through their clothes this past weekend, in a nutshell, they are modern with a hint of classic and Authentically African, all of them Unique in their own ways.
