Between December 2021 and January 2022, Zanele Muholi trained 9 young women from the Western Cape in Photography & Film under their project, a mobile school of photography. Over the years Muholi has funded the studies of young people at the Market Photo Workshop and once again they have offered to pay for tuition and board for those completing courses at Market Photo Market Workshop or those newly enrolling at the Orms Cape Town School of Photography & Photo Market Workshop for a qualification in either film or photography.
Internationally acclaimed photographer & visual artist Zanele Muholi has previously funded the studies of over 40 young people at the Market Photo Workshop. Some of the beneficiaries have had their own solo exhibitions locally, have shown their work abroad and have had successful careers out of this opportunity.
