Be it chocolate or child-friendly tasting, Spier invites you to beat the winter blues with an exclusive range of tastings and wines. Just because the weather is glum, doesn’t mean you need to be too! This winter, Spier invites visitors from near and far to visit the 2022 Winery of the Year* and cosy up to a range of five delicious wine and food tastings. Whether you’re looking for a romantic sojourn or a family-friendly activity, the Spier Tasting Room has something for everyone!

Each tasting is available with or without a freshly-prepared food pairing or alternatively, can be served with an olive, cheese or cured meat board to complement the wine selection. Simply pick from one or more of the following tastings and make your booking today:

#1: Chocolate & Wine Tasting | R80pp

This experience consists of four of our Spier wines which have been expertly paired with three handmade chocolates to help unlock the nuanced flavours in each of the liquid treasures. The sweet-tooths among us can look forward to chocolate flavours such as dark malted cherry and white cardamom with passion fruit.

#2: Children’s Grape Juice Tasting | R40pp

Dear parents: Do you need an activity other than making slime to keep the little ones entertained on rainy days? This tasting is the ideal way to keep the kids busy while you take a well-deserved break! Children will be treated to a tasting of two different grape juices and an educational activity sheet highlighting the role insects play in our vineyards.

#3: Limited Edition Seaward Sip & Soup Tasting | R150pp

Microwaved minestrone just not cutting it? Dazzle your tastebuds with a flavourful four-course soup and Seaward wine pairing this winter season! Available exclusively at the Spier Tasting Room from 1 June – 31 August 2022, this limited-edition tasting is a sure-fire way to warm up the soul.  All soups are vegetarian-friendly and made with farm-fresh ingredients.

#4: Winemakers Selection | R100pp

Whether you’re a wine novice or long-time collector, the Winemakers Selection provides the perfect overview of the Spier premium stable. Taste from our award-winning 21 Gables and Creative Block ranges as well as our popular organic red blend, Spier First Stone.
