It may have been a cold and rainy evening but the # VOOVTV launch event was attended by trendsetters, celebs and media who were dressed to the nines. The star-studded show was MC’d by Somizi Mhlongo whilst Lalla Hirayama hosted guests on the VOOV purple carpet. The charity ‘VOOVoff’ involved key influencers VOOVing-for-good. Lasizwe won the challenge with the most live-streams. The prize was a donation of R20 000 to a charity of his choice.
The entertainment did not stop there! Nasty C wowed the crowd with his electrifying performance and DJ Lamiez rounded off the night with a mind-blowing set!
#VOOVTV is a TV channel which is an extension of the VOOV social live streaming app that was launched in South Africa earlier this year. Tencent Africa, the owners of the VOOV platform, brought VOOV to the local market through its parent company Naspers and Chinese media and internet behemoth Tencent.
