Tshwane and Joburg, Get Ready! Red Bull Dance Your Style Is Coming To You

Different street dance styles, unpredictable tunes, crowd-voting, individuality and only one winner – The Red Bull Dance Your Style is back. Budding dancers in Tshwane and Johannesburg, from all street dance disciplines, are invited to a battle at the State Theatre Precinct, onFriday, 05 July 2019 from 13:00 to 17:00 and at the Republic of 94 on Sunday, 07 July 2019 from 12:00 to 17:00 – The entrance is free.

The Red Bull Dance Your Style competition itself will be a mixed, all-style solo (one-on-one) battle, in which dancers from any street style discipline will compete against each other. Each battle will be an exchange of the diverse and different number of styles that exist in street dance, and the audience will get to see breaking, hip-hop, popping, house, locking and other street dance styles.

Sustaining the novelty of the competition, the Red Bull Dance Your Style will have no professional judges in sight. Instead, the audiences will serve as the final arbiter. This means, the dancer who shows-off the coolest steps in interaction with rhythm, lyrics and instruments, and manages to wow the crowd and win their vote, will become a crowned winner!
