THERAPY DIRTY TWIST – Launching In Cape Town This December

The iconic and legendary South African “queer dance party” brand, Therapy, takes partying to an even sexier level for Therapy’s “DIRTY TWIST” LAUNCH PARTY, on Wednesday 27 December, for a once-off event in the newly refitted upstairs level of Crew Bar in Cape Town.

Join us as for the launch of our new party theme, in a celebration of music, glamour, cultural and gender equality and above all else, the love of a good time!

Therapy is not about selling a VIP status, all of its patrons are VIPs, it is not about big name DJ’s, although it has had many of those!  It is about the party experience that is uniquely Therapy, and how a patron feels about the attitude of that.

Therapy’s 20th birthday event ‘Love Injection’ in 2016, was proclaimed “Party of the Year” by South Africa’s leading queer news and lifestyle platform, and celebrated it’s ‘coming-of-age’ 21’st birthday with huge fanfare this year, and the launch of “DIRTY TWIST’ will be a delicious taste of the big plans it has for entertaining clubland in 2018.

Therapy was founded in 1996, by Stuart Hillary.  It is firmly entrenched in the hearts of party lovers, classy clubbers and gender queer crowds, as well as being an open and free environment for all. It is the best known gay – themed club in South Africa, and one of the few that built an international reputation. A regular flow of international DJ talent combined with local creativity has kept Therapy on par with the best parties in the world.

Enjoy full-service bars and lounge areas, superb sound, and seductive lighting in a superbly renovated venue, with Function 1 sound and mind-blowing visuals including huge LED screens

Dirty Twist will keep you celebrating on the dance floor all night long.

Be welcomed by “door whore” supreme Terry Tiger.  Having spent 10 years in New York, Terry went from impersonating Madonna to being signed to dance music label “Progressive High”, with club track “Chelsea’s on Fire”. She has performed in all the major clubs from NY to LA and Miami.

Up and coming DJ star Nathan Wyatt aka ‘Nathan N8 Nasty’ born grew up listening to (uplifting, happy) dance music almost non-stop and developed an absolute passion for making people shake their socks off on the dance floor!  He found his inspiration from none than the fabulous founder of Therapy, Stuart Hillary.

Massively popular!

A Therapy dance-floor experience would be incomplete without Groovy Q.

A discography of Therapy creator Stuart Hillary’s 25 years in the dance industry would fill volumes.

Residencies at legendary clubs like Mrs Henderson’s, The Embassy, Krypton, GASS, Therapy, Bitch, Legends, Discotec and ESP.

His talent has afforded him the opportunities to play alongside the likes of Boy George, Alan Thomson, Carl Cox, Sasha, Digweed, David Vendetta, Josh Wink, Junior Sanchez, Frankie Knuckles, Tony de Vit, Fedde Le Grand, and Danny Rampling to name a few.

A Cape Town DJ legend

“House music is penicillin for my soul”.  His music oozes with energy, fueled by sexy vocals with a twisted dirtiness that ignites the dance floor with energy and electricity.
