We took a huge bite of the big apple at Sally Mustang in Kramerville Johannesburg on Friday when the internationally acclaimed beer brand Heineken set up an unforgettable experience part of the 192 countries campaign. International rappers Rick Ross and Rich Homie Quan gave Mzansi an exclusive debut performance of their new singles with Ngud hit maker Kwesta.
The brand activated a summer campaign that’s giving Mzansi a chance to experience the culture and lifestyle from some of the 192 countries where the brew is appreciated around the globe. First Durban had a taste of Japan, and now Jozi had a taste of how they cut a rug in America’s concrete jungle city New York. The event was themed with all the elements that express the culture and lifestyle of the city – what’s American culture without their strong influence of music across the world? The globetrotting beer brand Heineken recognizes this and has once again roped in Kwesta to introduce a new fusion of sounds with these international collaborative efforts.
The K1 God seems to like the sounds coming out of Maybach Music Group, first he worked with chart topping rapper Wale and dropped the ever-blazing tune Spirit. He now debuted his collaborative efforts with the boss of the recording label Rick Ross with a track titled Kuhambani at the Johannesburg Taste the World event. The Rich Forever rapper performed some of his old-time favourites that we all know and love him for such as Aston Martin Music, Stay Schemin’ and Diced Pineapples. The crowd went wild when Rich Homie Quan hit the stage with his classic banger Type of Way.
Always representing his home town, Kwesta took Rick Ross and Rich Homie Quan to the streets of Katlehong to film the visuals of these new tracks.
