Stylin’ Dredz Creative Conquerors Reveal

After a 4 week wait, the much-anticipated showcase of some of Johannesburg most dynamic and creative entrepreneurs took place in chilly Johannesburg last week. The location? 1 Fox Junction. The occasion? The Stylin’ Dredz Creative Conqueror official showcase.

The open warehouse styled joint was transformed into a multimedia gallery providing a sensory experience to 150 invited guests from the creative fraternity.

Seasoned creative media personality and industry heavyweight, Siyabonga “Scoop” Ngwekazi, was the MC for the night and kept guests entertained with his effervescent personality. Acting as the facilitator, he ushered guests through the gallery as he introduced the Creative Conquerors.

Lufuno Sathekge, Lady X, Oscar Ncube, Doowap, David Tshabalala and Leeroy Jason all conceptualized, built and showcased their interpretations of what “Stylin your story” means to them. The event, a gallery styled showcase of their journey’s, was an eclectic interpretation of life as a dreadlocked unconventional creative.

The 6 hand-picked creative entrepreneurs showcased their various journeys as those who crafted careers defying the odds of convention and making a name for themselves in their industries.

Who are the Creative Conquerors? They are rebellious, they are expressive, they are unique and they don’t conform to norms.

With installations that included a live vocal performance, short films, interactive DJ sets, hair styling stations, photo galleries and a pop-up clothing store, guests were transported through a creative hub that was a celebration of authenticity and uniqueness.
