Today MTV Africa (DStv channel 130) in partnership with Strongbow officially announced the second rendition of Strongbow MTV Big Picnic where the power of nature to refresh will infuse music, food and fashion at the iconic Old Park Station on Saturday, 30 November 2019.
Themed urban oasis, the venue that lives in the heart of the concrete sky scraping Johannesburg CBD will be transformed into an enchanting lush escape that embodies the natural freshness and rejuvenating taste of Strongbow Cider.
Hosted by MTV Africa VJs Kim Jayde and BET Africa personality Nomalanga Shozi, the event promises to serve a sun-sensational experience of all things summer filled with the serenading sounds of some of Mzansi’s freshest musical acts fading into the beautiful Jozi sunset overlooking the Nelson Mandela Bridge.
“MTV Africa is the cultural home of the millennial generation, music fans and artists, and through this partnership with Strongbow MTV Big Picnic we are creating an exclusive experience that will see our audiences enjoy this infusion of fresh brands in an iconic Joburg setting like no other. The oasis which will be the centre of attention on the day will see some of the country’s finest DJs and performers take to stage such as MTV European Music Award nominee Shekhinah, multiple award winning rapper Kwesta and award winning house and dance duo Black Motion.
