Following an exhilarating nationwide search that spanned over months, iconic skincare brand POND’S on Thursday announced the winner of its widely publicised #IAMTHEFACEOFPONDS ambassador search competition. The winner, 25 year-old Nosipho Mhlanga, a Medical Student from Johannesburg, will be joining the ranks of Ayanda Thabethe, Thembi Seete and Celeste Khumalo as official faces of the brand. She’ll be walking away with prizes to the total value of R100 000 and the title, a Face of POND’S.
After launching on 21 March 2018, and garnering over 10 000 entries from women across the country – all with different features and qualities, and unique stories to tell – the #IAMTHEFACEOFPONDS competition officially closed on 3 June 2018. Following a rigorous selection process, wherein every entry was looked at by a panel, the Top 5 were announced on the brand’s Facebook page on the 13th of June. Voting was then opened to the public, who had until the 25th of June to vote for their next Face of POND’s.
Aside from winning the coveted title of Face of POND’S, Nosipho will feature as the Face of POND’S Lasting Oil Control campaign later this year, she will appear in the brand’s point of sale, broadcast and digital campaign assets, receive a cash prize of R10 000, have exclusivity to POND’S events, and receive a modelling portfolio.
