The launch of the #BeyondBrooklyn campaign kickstarted on Sunday the 3rd of July where guests had the opportunity to not only view selected works from Thokozane Madonsele, Nene Mahlangu and Inkosinathi Nzima but also had the chance to hear from multidisciplinary artist Anthony Bila as he also showcased a few of his pieces and took us through his journey in conversation with Mpumelelo ‘‘Frypan’ Mfula.
This time, guests will hear from local draftsman and printmaker, Minenkulu Ngoyi, whose works have been exhibited in Italy, the United States, France, the Netherlands, and Germany.
Guests will also have a chance to sip on a Brooklyn Gin cocktail inspired by Ngoyi’s work while also being introduced to his works of art. These pieces will be on display at Even After All for the month of September. We will also have the opportunity to learn more about Ngoyi and his journey in conversation with Tangerine from Between 10 and 5.
No Regular Sundays goes by without an exciting DJ Line up and so to end off the afternoon we’ll have the chance to listen to some tunes by our host Lungile Shaun and ANDRD 18.
