On Thursday, 26 January, Hard Rock Cafe Johannesburg will be hosting a showcase of South African artists for an exciting weekend. The “Legends – Tribute Show” honours significant South African and international musicians from the 1990s and 2000s, including Brenda Fassie, Boom Shaka, Lauren Hill, and Mary J. Blige. With the help of a carefully chosen DJ mix and the voices of up-and-coming musicians, this hybrid performance will take you on a musical journey.
Soweto’s favourite and fast-rising Ampiano artist, DJ Njelic, will be live on the 28th of January. Popularly known for his hit single “Shesha Geza” with De Mthuda, Njelic has shared the stage with the biggest artists in the South African music scene. In addition, he has been featured on top-charting releases with Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa.
