2022 has undoubtedly been Moonga K.’s year as his releases thus far have seen the artist playlisted on many South African radio stations, with each track receiving hundreds of thousands of streams. Now his first EP of 2022, titled IV, is finally here, delivering more hot tracks for eagerly awaiting fans.
Singer-songwriter, and social activist, MOONGA K., releases the first of a few capsule projects lined up for 2022, titled IV. The project features four futuristic funk-infused R&B songs – “my mind” and “up” produced by UK producer, James McMillan, who has worked with Mahalia, Sade, Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston, “right these wrongs” produced by co-conspirators in music, Phonikz and John Lundun, and “with u” produced by Greg Abrahams, co-writer and producer of K.’s last EP, CANDID. Moonga wrote all the songs on the project and they explore introspection, hope, rebellion, love and communal fun.
