The Feel Good MC hosted a private album listening session this past Tuesday and received an overwhelmingly positive response to his Me & Mines project. TransAfrica Radio broadcasted live from the listening session which was attended by key media and music industry members.
“Me & Mines is a dedication to You & Yours. The album represents a weekend in my life but trust me there is a song for everyone on the album. This is a very personal project to me so it’s extremely humbling for it to have received the reception is has thus far from both the industry and my fans,” expresses BigStar Johnson.
BigStar Johnson took a unique approach to his Me & Mines album that will be a pleasant surprise for many. It’s not your typical Hip Hop album. It has a lot of 90s nostalgia and has already been pegged to be a future classic that South Africa can look back on in future and enjoy.
Nearing 80 000 views on YouTube, BigStar Johnson’s Sgubu featuring Kwesta is the appropriate track to lead his album release as it pays homage to artists that have led the way before him. Sgubu is currently on rotation on radio stations across the country such as Metro FM, 5FM, 947, YFM, Ukhozi FM, and Gagasi FM just to name a few.
