Matevhu is a singer, songwriter and YouTuber from Limpopo who found fame when she entered Idols SA Season 16 singing competition. She has grown as an artist and has introduced her work on the new single “I’m Done” which came out on 17 December along with a music video. In March, we saw Matevhu appear as a lead character “Indlovu” music video by DJ Zinhle ft Lloyiso and it’s refreshing to see her blossom as the star on her own video.
This is what she shared about the song: “This is a beautiful song following a story about a girl who is just tired of being used and cheated on, it’s about knowing your self-worth and knowing what you deserve in a relationship. Most people tend to settle in toxic relationships in the name of “Love” and being afraid to be alone. When writing this song, I wanted to send a message that it is ok to let go of the people that are toxic in your life, although it’s hard we just need to be strong and do what’s best for ourselves.
