Sultry SA singer/songwriter Lucille Slade is back with a brand new single titled Velvet to spark the local charts and possibly the fire in the bedroom this winter.
The record, produced by Stickx and engineered by Zeph Beatz, is a smooth, baas-driven RnB tune, with straight forward sensual lyrics. “It speaks to the woman who is open to letting her suitor know how he makes her feel, likening the feeling of her suitor to the soft, smooth touch of the fabric velvet”, said the singer on this soothing melody.
Lucille is a Kimberley-born Johannesburg-based artist who caught everyone’s attention in 2017 after covering Cassper’s Nyovest’s hit-single Tito Mboweni and making it her own. Her version was so good that many said it was even better than the original. Slade has a strong internet following that is increasing by the day and has garnered over 400k views on YouTube alone.
