South African was filled with grief and sadness after confirmation of the passing of Mzwandile Nzimande, affectionately known to the public as DJ 1D, DJ and co-founder of popular streetwear and lifestyle brand Loxion Kulca. He sadly passed away on Wednesday, the 13th January 2020 at 09:00am at the Olivedale Clinic in Johannesburg after being diagnosed positive with Covid-19.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Hlapo and his three strong and brave girls, Senzi, Zandi and Zwelethu as well as with his two brothers Bheki and Ayanda.
Industry peer and close friend Vivian Chuene has curated a send-off playlist with some of 1D’s favourite songs. The playlist cover (used in this post and on the playlist) is also a special dedication to this legend by David Tshabalala. Hope you enjoy the playlist as much as we did… and keep his memory alive!
