Invest In Your Talent And Passion With Star Quality College

Star Quality Performing Arts College (SQPAC) has been cultivating new talent since its establishment in 2012 and the new year will be no different – with that promise, the actors’ oasis invites prospective students to enrol for the acting class of 2021.

The accredited higher education institution recognises the value of the creative industry, specifically within the acting discipline, and for this reason, offers improved and practical training and a clear-eyed perspective on harnessing your skills and advancement within the entertainment industry. The founders, Miranda Ntshangase and Zinzi Zungu – both AFDA graduates – recognise the college as an investment in individuals and a solution towards realizing job creation and youth unemployment within the greater industry.

Despite the effects of pandemic, the creative industry remains ripe for investment opportunities as more global companies such as Netflix expand their presence on the continent. Star Quality Performing Arts College Co- Founder, Zinzi Zungu said: “We are starting to see more African governments recognise the arts which is a step change from when the arts was viewed as just a hobby. More and more people now see how entertainment and the arts influences popular culture and drives awareness and how it is giving rise to a growing youth population who want to express themselves in less traditional ways.”

Along with the methodical training found in either of the five (5) programs the college offers; 1 year higher certificate program, a 12-week interactive acting program, 12-week online acting program, kids holiday classes and Effective online presentation, the college also equips their students with a survival toolkit in “The Business of Acting”. The hands-on training consists of a wealth of advice on auditioning, film, and theatre acting as well as voice and physicality, combining traditional techniques with those best suited for the current digital age.

“Our programs are run by industry-specific facilitators that understand the needs and wants of the industry and are best suited to deliver the necessary messages and cutting-edge knowledge to the students especially in an ever-evolving industry such as this.” Says – co-founder, Miranda Ntshangase.

The South African film and television industry contributes over R5,6bn to the GDP and the demand for more local talent and production continues to rise. Star Quality Performing Arts College is intent on realising its mission to empower and enable budding actors into the industry. “We believe our purpose is to share our talent and knowledge so others have the same platform to create. It is for this reason that we not only offer the theory of drama and acting, but provide knowledge and strategies to our students on the business aspect of entertainment.“ said Ntshangase and Zungu

Passionate prospective students who want to gain performing arts knowledge, skills, and values to become competent and professional practitioners of the performing arts should contact Star Quality College to enrol at either the Johannesburg or Durban branch, before 3 February 2021.
