Hlumelo Nyaluza Launches 15-piece Art Collection

Eastern Cape born independent author, Hlumelo Nyaluza, who launched the world’s most uniquely structured self-help book last year, Navigate Humans: Be Against Normality – is going against the norm yet again with the launch of an art collection in a bid to raise funds to reprint his book to meet the demands requested by book sellers across the country.

Written in 19 days using a borrowed laptop and minus R7 to his name, the country fell in love with Hlumelo Nyaluza’s Navigate Humans: Be Against Normality which quickly sold out.

As an independent author with minimal funds to his name and a backlog of requests from 17 book stores nationwide, Hlumelo Nyaluza decided to get creative in his fundraising attempts instead of seeking a handout or go the crowdfunding route.

In collaboration with prominent fine artists, Gerhard van Vuuren and Mbongeni Fakudze, Hlumelo Nyaluza presents an exclusive art sale and private launch of Navigate Humans: Be Against Normality at Cape Point Vineyards on Tuesday, 26 March 2019 at 6pm which will be hosted by SABC 3’s Expresso Show presenter, Thabiso Makhubela. RSVP at events@cape-point.com.

Hlumelo Nyaluza partnered with Gerhard van Vuuren and Mbongeni Fakudze to create a fine art version for the reprint of his book, which has materialised in 15 paintings which are available for sale and represent the new book cover for Navigate Humans: Be Against Normality done by Gerhard van Vuuren and accompanying graphics for each chapter of the book done by Mbongeni Fakudze.

Those who cannot attend the event and would like to purchase a painting can email – nyaluzah@gmail.com to get specifications of the paintings and prices.
