Gap, the casual clothing and accessories brand known for its modern approach to American optimism, re-entered and celebrated the launch of its new store in The Mall of Africa on 3 December 2020.
Gap first opened its doors on 26th November 2020 and followed with a launch event on the 3rd December 2020 with the brand launching their Summer and Fall collections for men, women, kids, toddlers and infants. The store offers a wide variety of elevated essentials including denim, t-shirts and hoodies as well as the brand’s signature logo products for the whole family.
The media, guests and consumers had the privilege of experiencing the Gap brand firsthand: from customization on denim with illustration and iron patches to receiving in-store promotions and discounts. The event was graced by various journalists, influencers and personalities including LeeAnne Dlamini, PatOnBrands, TK Matakanye and Lwandile Makhaza. The store will be offering promotions to consumers all through December to January: from “buy 2 logo tees all divisions and get 2nd one-off 30%” –until 26 Dec 2020; “dresses 30% off” – until 19 Dec 2020; Shorts 30% off –from 20 Dec 2020 – 2 Jan 2021.
The launch reinforces the brand’s commitment to meeting the customer where they are while also implementing health and safety measures to make the store a trusted place for customers to shop as the world continues to navigate the global pandemic. After the store opening in Mall of Africa, the Hyvec Group plans to carry out a sustained national growth plan with additional store openings in South Africa.
