The 8th edition of the free, highly popular family-friendly event is just around the corner.
Set to take place on Saturday June 8th at Newtown Junction in Johannesburg, all that’s needed is amazing talent to fill the 6 stages – and applications to perform are now open!
Open to musicians from all music genres, the aim of the Fête de la Musique is to celebrate live music, host international artists alongside local musicians and provide a platform for upcoming talent – and of course, to bring free music for all in a safe and inclusive environment.
With thousands of visitors to this one-day-only annual event, the Fête de la Musique has become a renowned platform for both established and upcoming talents, and the two additional stages planned for 2018 aim to bring even more diversity to this culture-filled day.
Vaudou Game, Nakhane, Blk Jks, Urban Village, BCUC, Baenz Oester and the Rainmakers, Bombshelter Beast, Josh Kempen and many more have all added their flavour in previous editions and the Fete continues to grow in numbers every year.
Once again, we are calling on musicians and bands from all music genres, amateur and professional, to perform and join in the spirit of Fête de la Musique in Newtown on Saturday 8th June 2019.
