The record and entertainment label, Dizzy Monk Entertainment (DME) was established in 2010 by Khoroane Rammotsi aka TopGogg, who works as both a rapper and producer, with his then partners. The studio was originally based at the SABC (radio park) and took over space from the rock band DM members were previously involved in as MC’s.
The band, Mid Effekt, got a song onto 5fm and got into the finals of The Jeigermeister Back the Artist competition. Ridwaan Randles, aka NawtyRyma who was exploring music at the SABC, would also come to perform for Mid Effekt alongside TopGogg in studio and at live shows.

However, the MC’s found it necessary to form their own space and took over the studio from the dissipating band. In the time since its inception, Dizzy Monks has produced and recorded works for TEARGAS, CashtimeFAM, Mshoza, ZubzThaLastLetta and Truey Donatello. DM has also featured on 5FM, Metro FM, Lesedi FM, Umhlobo FM, Touch HD and Alex FM.
TDK aka Them Dizzy kids is a duo formed by TopGogg and NawtyRyma – partners in Dizzy Monk Entertainment. The label now has a studio based in Melville at The Court.
TDK makes music that is full of energy and stories as can be heard in their latest single, All White Party (AWP). All White Party has a message that confidently celebrates black excellence in a unique trap-style.
TDK recently shot a music video for AWP with award-winning Ofentse Mwase Films (OMF) and are currently promoting the song on all social media platforms. The single has had it’s TV debut on Channel O Crispy Fresh, and has so far been playlisted on Channel O and MTV Base.
TDK enjoys bringing their hyped and unique collaborative energy to stages and has begun performing at in various venues and parties.
The rap duo will be releasing a full album and an EP over the course of the year, and will be bringing more exciting things in the coming months 🙂

The purpose of the pre-launch was to introduce Dizzy Monk Entertainment as a professional recording studio available to the public. Also to showcase some of its in-house artist.

The pre-launch aimed to attract industry media included for the main purpose of networking. Bringing the industry closer by sharing what different professionals do that adds value to the entertainment business via their individual roles. This creates new spaces for opportunity and a diverse warm working environment.
DM plans to release more artist from the stable and create platforms for an artist to perform and grow in, so be sure to look out for them.
