Creative Cooking with Nestlé

Nestlé Recipes with Love (which is the food giant’s recipe platform) hosted a creative cooking class with their iconic brand MAGGI LAZENBY and the Nestlé culinary solutions range, to celebrate healthy and tasty meals to showcase how these brands can be creatively incorporated and allow you to cook and bake delicious everyday meals.

The cooking class took place at the NESTLÉ Kitchen in Bryanston and celebrity chef, Chef Mbombi demonstrated the usage and versatility in preparing truly authentic, South African dishes of chicken livers, lamb knuckle curry and granadilla lime fridge tart.

Attending the masterclass were celebrities Chef Lucia Mthiyane and Theo Nhlengethwa, to name a few. Influencers like Twiggy and Linda Mkhanya also joined in the cooking on the day. Attendees teamed up in pairs to create a dynamic team cooking experience, taking turns to cook and support each other, under the expert guidance of Chef Mbombi.

“MAGGI LAZENBY is a liquid seasoning made of natural spices; nutmeg, coriander, cloves and garlic. When used in preparing your meals it enhances the flavour of the dish and gives it something special to delight your family and friends. It can be used as a condiment to dash onto your eggs, as a marinade for your braai, or adding extra flavour to your bloody mary”, states Laila Naidoo, Business Executive Officer, Food at Nestlé South Africa.

The recipe for the chicken livers saw the cooking class using MAGGI LAZENBY to season the livers and give them extra flavour. “I loved how MAGGI Lazenby made the livers taste clean and flavourful”, comments guest Chef Lucia.

“The Nestlé Dairy culinary solutions range is a versatile cooking and baking solution that provides delicious creamy flavour and taste to all meals. Whether you are using Nestlé Sweetened Condensed Milk as an ingredient when baking or Nestlé Ideal Evaporated Milk for the creaminess of soups, stews and pastas, Nestlé’s culinary solutions range is all made with real milk and is perfect for adding your special touch to every day sweet or savoury meals, giving the meal a full round taste”, adds Adedoja Ekeruche, Business Executive Officer, Dairy at Nestlé South Africa.

The guests used the Nestlé Dessert and Cooking Cream in the creamy parmesan samp. What is lunch without a dessert? You may ask.  Nestlé Sweetened Condensed Milk was the main ingredient in the Granadilla lime tart.

This masterclass is now open to the public where you can win double tickets to come and enjoy the class with Chef Mbombi.  To enter for the next masterclass follow Nestlé recipes with love on Instagram and Facebook.’
