Following the launch of Converse’s first style-driven expression of the ERX in 2018, Converse and Don C release a second head-to-toe capsule featuring new ERX executions. Fascinated by the ERX through his own personal memories of the silhouette and love of the sport, Don C continues to leverage the 80’s silhouette’s cross-cultural, on and off court adoption, and and remasters it for the present.
The collection is born from Don C’s encyclopedic knowledge of basketball and his modern streetwear design ethos. Constructed to bring style to the forefront of function, the ERX boasts a renewed EVA midsole, while the upper – with all its panels – and rubber cupsole mirror the originals from the 1980s.
The “Animal” pack celebrates the innate rivalry between predator and prey through the ERX 260 Mid. Crafted in two classic leather colorways (black and white), the silhouettes are accented with wild animal prints, a signature execution of Don C’s. Each sneaker also comes with two lace sets, embellishing the print on each sneaker’s heel overlay.
In addition to the two sneaker models, the patterns and textures are extended through an accompanying three-piece apparel set. Included is an orange hoodie with a contrasting hood and drawstring details, as well as chest screen print with the matching animal print bands tying the piece together. The purple tee sees a similar approach with the animal print filling the broad number and word branding on the front. Lastly, a white pair of track pants has animal print chevron down each leg, paired with turquoise and a neon-yellow waistband. Each item compliments the ERX 260 Mids perfectly.

The ERX Animal Pack apparel will be available at Shellife CPT, JHB, and Online store on the 15th of February via first come first serve at 10am. The two sneaker styles will only be available in CPT from 3pm on 15 February, with JHB releasing the ERX 260 Mid on Monday 18 February.
