In the build-up to Corona’s inaugural “Casa Corona” taking place at Nirox Sculpture Park this Saturday 22nd and Saturday 23rd June, yesterday Chef Nti hosted an exclusive gathering at the Taste Kitchen located in the heart of Maboneng. The Mexican inspired dishes served as a taste of what is to be expected this coming weekend at the #FindYourSunset experience set to encourage winter hibernators to forget their nesting tendencies and come out to enjoy the sunset.
Coming to South Africa for the first time, “Casa Corona” is a weekend-long lifestyle experience that’s just what the good Doctor ordered. Think artistry in the form of music, photography, food, and mixology; all brought together under a stunning atmospheric sunset of the Winter Solstice. Yes, the 2019 Winter Solstice will take centre stage as a select number of guests take in the breath-taking sunset that heralds the official count-down to Summer in the Southern Hemisphere as days get longer with each passing day. Influenced by themes from Mexico, France, and Spain, Casa Corona emulates a “Paradise in the City.” It is a paradise to escape to and live unforgettable moments at sunset encouraging you to #FindYourSunset. Casa Corona is full of immersive experiences where you can enjoy the perfect winter sunset with a Corona and a lime.
Mexican Nachos, melted cheese, salsa, sour cream and Corona are not the only menu options as sunset chasers will also be served with iPhonography workshops, mixology sessions, Latin-American cuisine, outdoor cinema, live music and an outdoor silent concert coupled with Nature’s Winter sunset show off. On what inspired her dishes, Chef Nti said that every meal on the menu was carefully selected to create a perfect fusion of Mexican, African and Latin American cuisine at Casa Corona. “Everything is designed to pair perfectly with Corona and the food is also designed to align with all the beautiful experiences that are planned at Nirox Sculpture Park for the much-anticipated weekend” , Chef Nti.
