Registrations For The iThemba Walkathon Are Open!

Family oriented event holds the record in over 50 countries

Registrations for the 12th annual Avon Justine iThemba Walkathon are officially open. This was announced at a media launch hosted by beautiful veteran actress Tina Jaxa at the Inanda Club in Sandton last week. As part of the launch, organisers Avon Justine announced partnerships with woman&home, e.tv and Kaya FM as well as NGOs Wings of Hope and Look Good…Feel Better who will help make the event the biggest yet while amplifying key breast cancer awareness messages that could save lives.

With over 29000 participants in 2016, the iThemba Walkathon is the largest breast cancer awareness event in the Avon world which consists of over 50 countries. The 2017 edition will take place on Sunday, 22 October at Marks Park in Johannesburg and is limited to 35000 participants.

All participants are required to pre-register and can do so on ithembawalkathon.co.za at just R135 per adult and R90 per child. Registrations can also be made on printed entry forms obtainable from participating Sportsman Warehouse stores.

When registering participants can also buy a woman&home magazine ribbon for only R20 which they can wear while walking and then dedicate on the Trees of Hope. This will be the fourth time participants can dedicate their messages on the Tree of Hope, an immensely emotional part of the iThemba Walkathon.

Quite importantly participants can also select additional services such as the park-and-ride when they register helping to ensure they have a seamless experience throughout including on the morning of the event.

On the day, participants have loads of exciting activities to look forward to including live performances, meeting their favourite local celebrities including the Kaya FM presenters and e.tv personalities as well as the #PoutForAPurpose lipstick challenge.

About Justine
Justine, one of South Africa’s premier skincare brands, was founded 40 years ago in May 1973. The vision was to launch a range of skincare products specifically designed to deliver tangible benefits in the harsh South African climate and to be formulated on a par with the best international brands in the world. The aim was to pioneer and develop a high quality, no-compromise range of natural and botanical skincare treatments with elegant packaging – combining the very best of nature and science. There were two motivational factors: to make women financially independent and to educate South African women in skincare and the proper use of cosmetics.

Over the years Justine has afforded women from all walks of life, employment, training and opportunities for advancement. The company has been instrumental in improving the self-image and social standing of many thousands of women as a result of the income, experience, enhanced skills and knowledge they have gained. http://www.justine.co.za
