NOLA Mayonnaise Celebrity Chef Mokgadi Itsweng Creates a Stir at Visa Street Food Festival!

This September will see the inner cities of Cape Town and Joburg transformed by the Visa Street Food Festival. With NOLA Mayonnaise as one of the sponsors, the festival kicks off on 2 September at the Side Street Studios in Woodstock, Cape Town and moves up to Joburg’s Maboneng precinct on 10 September at Common Ground on Staib Street.

If you’re feeling inspired to #CreateAStir at the Visa Street Food Festival, then make your way to the NOLA stand where celebrity chef, Mokgadi Itsweng will show you how to add a fresh twist to your favourite meals with a range of tasty treats to savour. Having made a name for herself both in the media and with her highly acclaimed restaurant, Lotsha Kitchen and Cocktails, Chef Mokgadi knows what it takes to #CreateAStir using the creamy texture of Nola, one of South Africa’s most loved mayonnaise brands.

“For me, the food we buy on the street offers us a glimpse of the soul of a country’s cooking. At the Visa Street Food Festival’s NOLA Mayonnaise stand, I’ll be using Nola to inspire new ways of using a product that is known and loved by most South Africans in their everyday cooking. From local favourites and trendy take-aways to sizzling street food, I’ll demonstrate how to use the creamy texture of NOLA as a great flavour enhancer that complements and enhance your favourite dish without overpowering the ingredients. Nola inspires new ways to Create A Stir and I will inspire you to create a stir,” says Chef Itsweng.
